Training sessions were held within the “Strengthening Accreditation of Research Institutions and Quality Assurance process at doctoral studies level in Azerbaijan“ project

On March 31-April 7, 2022, training sessions on accreditation rules of scientific institutions (organizations) were held within the “Strengthening Accreditation of Research Institutions and Quality Assurance process at doctoral studies level in Azerbaijan” project funded by the European Union the main beneficiary of which is the Supreme Attestation Commission under the Presindent of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The project is implemented by a consortium led by IBF International Consulting.

The aim of the project is to establish a process of internal and external quality assurance of doctoral studies level according to the best European practices and to organize the application of new mechanisms for accreditation of research institutions. This aim includes the development of rules for quality assurance and accreditation, capacity building and digitization of the accreditation process.

The participants of the first training, held on March 31-April 1, were employees of the Supreme Attestation Commission. The training covered information obtained from pilot accreditation, the roles of Commission staff in the accreditation process, procedures and accreditation requirements.

The participants of the second training, held on April 4-5, were employees of scientific institutions and organizations in the country. The training covered the topics on the roles of employees of scientific institutions in the accreditation process, their rights and responsibilities, accreditation procedures and requirements.

The participants of the third training, held on April 6-7, were well-known experts in various fields. The training covered the topics on the results expected from experts in accreditation, accreditation procedures and requirements.

An online accreditation platform developed by the project was also presented to the training participants. The presentation provided detailed information on the submission and review of reports and roles of users.
