Resilient Civil Society and Media respond to the Ukraine War
Project Description
Specific Objective
The overall aim of Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) is to build the resilience of the selected third parties to provide services to conflict-affected people and promote integration with host communities. The FSTP scheme also aims to support civil society organisations that were forced to relocate from Belarus and Russia.
The project aims to support more resilient independent media landscape in Ukraine that is able to survive wartime disruption, catastrophic loss of advertising revenue and combat disinformation and misinformation. Independent media actors and CSOs in selected countries will be, besides others, strengthened and more resilient through tailored trainings and Mental Health and Psychosocial support (MHPSS).
Expected Results
- CSOs and independent media receive capacity development, FSTP and mental health and psychosocial support
- CSOs, independent media and media actors counter disinformation, ensure quality journalism and contribute to societal resilience
- Exiled human rights defenders and independent journalists are able to continue their work in safety
- Support to efforts to ensure accountability, including individual criminal responsibility and access to justice for victims of the Russia’s aggression against Ukraine
