Opening ceremony of “Azerbaijan Impact days”
On October 10, 2023, Education HUB held the opening ceremony of “Azerbaijan Impact days” tailored events under the name of “Inclusive dance performance”.
The event took place within “Azerbaijan Impact days” tailored events in close collaboration with Dance Ability Azerbaijan which are being held between October 10-13. “Azerbaijan Impact days” event is implemented within the framework of the “Collaborate for Impact” program of the European Venture Philanthropy Association and funded by the European Union. The official partner in Azerbaijan is Education HUB.
In the event the representatives of public, private, bank, government, embassies, media and other sectors attended.
The event started with the opening speech of Gulnara Ismailova, Program Manager of Education HUB. In her speech, she gave detailed information about the “Azerbaijan Impact Days” event: “The “Azerbaijan Impact Days” series event, held for the first time in Azerbaijan, is a great impetus for the development of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem. The fact that we held the opening event together with the DanceAbility social enterprise is an indication that we, as Education HUB, are always with social entrepreneurs.”
Nigar Sultanova, head of DanceAbility social enterprise, said: “As DanceAbility Azerbaijan, we are proud to be a partner in the opening ceremony of the “Azerbaijan Impact Days” series event held for the first time in our country. I think that the sustainability of such events is important for the development of social entrepreneurship.” during her speech.
Mr. Črtomir Peter Fišinger, the Political Counsellor at the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, said during his speech: “It is commendable to hold such a great event in Azerbaijan. We thank Education HUB for the activities implemented for the development of social entrepreneurship. I want to say that as the European Union, we are always ready to support.”
Salman Haji, Cultural Affairs Officer of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, made a speech in Azerbaijani: “As the US Embassy, it is a pleasure for us to be a part of such an event. The long cooperation of the Embassy with Education HUB continues successfully today. I hope that our cooperation will be successful and sustainable.”
The event went on with inclusive dance performance by Dance Ability Azerbaijan. The purpose of the performance is to engage people with disabilities and have them participated in the community.
