Residents of Telishli, whose houses and farms were damaged by the Kura floods in 2010, live in an eco-migrant settlement built by the government 1 km away from the village. Each family in the settlement has been allocated 1200 square metres of land. Due to the features of the landscape, approximately 30 families were unable to use the irrigation canal built in the settlement. Therefore, it would be possible to supply water to this area with a canal following a different route. But it was beyond the means of the residents of the settlement to choose this route and build the canal. The main canal, which started about 1.5 km from the settlement, was covered with bushes. About 40 hectares of land belonging to 36 families located on the canal have also faced a lack of water in recent years.
