The Imishli branch of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society experienced the IFRC’s BOCA training under the EU-funded project

On 01-02 May 2024, under the EU-funded project called “Bridging the Gap between Community Needs and Local Capacities and Capabilities of the Civil Society Actors in Azerbaijan”, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society (AzRCS) organised Branch Organizational Capacity Assessment (BOCA) training in its Imishli branch in collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

The training was facilitated by Abbasova Gunel, Mammadov Khayyam, and Rustamov Gasim who attained facilitator status within the national society during the first BOCA training.

Key stakeholders, including senior management from the Imishli branch and dedicated volunteers, participated in the comprehensive training sessions. Throughout the program, participants received instructive materials on BOCA methodologies and engaged in interactive sessions aimed at fostering organisational development strategies tailored to the unique needs of the branch.
