The European Union in Lankaran

The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Azerbaijan, in partnership with Embassies of EU Member States visits Lankaran for its next event in Azerbaijan – EuroVillage 2023 on 9-10 June. EuroVillage aims to raise awareness about the European Union and its activities and projects implemented in Azerbaijan.

On 9 June, EU Ambassador Peter Michalko along with fellow Ambassadors of EU Member States meets the Lankaran authorities, holds presentations at Lankaran State University, and visits the beneficiaries of two EU funded projects in Lankaran.

Everybody interested to learn more about the EU and its Member States is invited to join the EuroVillage outdoor event on 10 June from 11:00 to 18.00 at Heydar Aliyev park in Lankaran. The EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, the Embassies of Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Sweden will be present at the event. The visitors will have a chance to explore the culture and traditions, cuisine, education and touristic opportunities of these EU countries. The EU projects in the fields of education, health, agriculture, environmental protection, culture and others will be also present to share their benefits in easing the life of the Azerbaijani people. The EuroVillage also features an evening concert of “Nanalar” folklore group, Leyla Taghiyeva and Chinara Melikzade, which starts at 17.00.
