The global objective of the project is to contribute to the comprehensive quality assurance of the education system in Azerbaijan.
The specific objective of the project is to improve the capacities of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (TKTA) to develop and introduce new mechanisms on accreditation of education institutions, quality assurance processes at all educational levels, recognition of prior learning, as well as recognition of foreign qualifications in accordance with advanced European experience.
The project covers activities in five directions including i) strengthening regulatory framework and capacities of the TKTA on accreditation; and ii) quality assurance; iii) supporting TKTA to apply for full ENQA membership; iv) improving communication function and v) strengthening research and analytics capacity of TKTA.

1. Regulatory Framework improved and capacities of the TKTA strengthened to ensure smooth accreditation of educational institutions and programmes, recognition of prior learning and foreign qualifications, creation of the national ranking system for VET and higher education.
2. Regulatory framework improved and capacities of staff of the TKTA strengthened on quality assurance.
3. TKTA is supported to apply for full ENQA and institutional EQAR membership.
4. Communication function of TKTA improved.
5. Research and analytics capacity of TKTA strengthened.
