On the first day of the training, Serdar Gunel, Programme and Operations Manager of IFRC Delegation in Azerbaijan, Ivar Schram, Programme Coordinator of IFRC in the South Caucasus Country Cluster Delegation in Georgia, and Gafar Askerzadeh, Vice President of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society (AzRCS), delivered opening speeches.
The Orientation Training aimed to straighten the knowledge of CSOs on Humanitarian actions and introduce the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement approach and their expertise in fundraising, communications, community engagement, finance, procurement, volunteering, disaster risk management, mental health and psychosocial support, cash and voucher assistance, project management and so on. The training fostered an interactive learning environment, encouraging CSO representatives to actively engage and share their experiences.
Throughout the training, CSO participants had the opportunity inquire questions related to their area of action and exchanged the experience with the IFRC and AzRCS trainers. The collaborative atmosphere facilitated meaningful discussion and allowed participants to gain valuable insights into best practices and strategies. Upon the conclusion of the training, CSO participants were presented certificates for their participation.
