Khayala used to provide beauty services to her close relatives from home. The number of clients was small, only 10-15 people per month. She applied to the EU funded project to get financial support to enlarge her business. The project negotiated with the local beauty salon and helped Khayala to get employed. It provided her with a mirror and necessary furniture in her room at the beauty salon. This equipment enabled Khayala to use better her skills and provide a more professional range of services to her clients. The number of her customers increased to 8-10 per day for haircuts with styling as well as make-up. As a result of her increased income, she is now in a better position economically and able to support her family, including four children who study at school and university.
