IFRC’s BOCA training conducted in the Goychay branch of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society under the EU-funded project

On 15-16 May 2024, under the EU-funded project called “Bridging the Gap between Community Needs and Local Capacities and Capabilities of the Civil Society Actors in Azerbaijan”, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society (AzRCS) organised Branch Organizational Capacity Assessment (BOCA) training in its Goychay branch in collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

This event became the fifth in a series of pilot seminars on integrating the BOCA tool into the branch development activities of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society.

This seminar was conducted by the trained BOCA facilitators of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society Elchin Huseynli, Elnara Jafarova, and Rahid Mammadov, who assisted the staff and volunteers of the Goychay regional branch in assessing the organizational capacity, identifying the development priorities, and elaborating the relevant plan of action. Results of the pilot BOCA seminars are to be analysed by the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society to further introduction of the tool in its branches all over the country.
