Historically nomadic, the Tarakama migrate to Imishli, Beylagan, Bilasuvar, Sabirabad, Salyan and other lowland regions in winter to graze their animals, and to Kalbajar, Lachin and other regions in the summer. Traditionally, the Tarakama women have been adept at weaving wool and making carpets, rugs and other products, such as household items like carpetbags, sacks, and so on. The women of the Telishli community, historically Tarakama, have not forgotten their traditions and have always loved carpet weaving.
