The State Attestation Commission learns the Austrian experience in the area of accreditation of research institutions and Quality Assurance

On May 2-3, the delegation led by Famil Mustafayev, Chairman of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a study visit to Vienna, Austria.

The study visit was held within the “Strengthening Accreditation of Research Institutions and Quality Assurance process at doctoral studies level in Azerbaijan” project funded by the European Union

The aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the Austrian experience in the field of accreditation of research institutions and quality assurance and to support the establishment of a similar system in Azerbaijan. During the visit, meetings and experience exchange were held with officials of the Ministry of Education, Science and Research of Austria, the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Sigmund Freud University.

At the meetings, participants obtained detailed information on “Strategy for Research, Technology and Innovation of the Austrian Federal Government 2030” and reforms in science over the past decade, got acquainted with the organization of quality assurance and accreditation process in scientific institutions and learned lessons, challenges and perspectives in this field.
