Horizon 2020 energy efficiency call receives impressive number of proposals

On 10 September, the Horizon 2020 energy efficiency call closed, receiving over 350 proposals. The call was open for both EU and non-EU applicants, including the six Eastern partner countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine. The proposals will be evaluated in the coming months, and applicants will be notified of the outcome in January 2021.

The call for proposals opened on 5 March 2020, covering 10 topics in the areas of buildings, innovative financing, consumers, services, public authorities and policy support, and with a total budget of €64 million

On 2 July 2019, the EU funding programme Horizon 2020 launched a call for proposals for secure, clean and efficient energy. By the deadline on 15 January 2020, the call had received a little over 70 proposals.
