Growing Green at Home: ADA Students Explore Urban Gardening Solutions in the ‘For Our Planet’ Campaign

Did you know that In 1960, roughly a third of the world lived in an urban setting; it is expected that this figure will reach two thirds by 2050!

As part of the “For our Planet” campaign the impact of urbanisation was discussed with students from the School of Agricultural and Food Sciences at ADA university – a programme in collaboration with the University of Bologna in the framework of Italy-Azerbaijan University initiative. Students were introduced to the campaign and had the opportunity to pitch their ideas and videos about urban gardening. The idea was to generate new ideas on how to increase green spaces and encourage small scale agriculture in urban areas. The finalists students will now work with the EU Delegation to produce short videos as part of the campaign.
