The website of the EU-supported project ‘EU4Climate’ was recently launched, containing detailed information about the project’s objectives and main activities. The site offers easy access to reports on the improvement of climate policies and legislation in the six Eastern partner countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

Apart from featuring the latest news in the field, the portal provides important information about the main emitter sectors in the target countries, the level of greenhouse gas emission and actions taken by governments to limit the impact of climate change on citizens.

The EU4Climate initiative was launched in response to the direct threat of climate change. It aims to support the six Eastern partner countries in developing and implementing climate-related policies based on their commitments under the 2015 Paris Agreement, the Association and Partnership Agreements with the EU, the Eastern Partnership’s 20 Deliverables for 2020 (in particular, deliverables 15 and 16) and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
