EU provides Azerbaijan with better access to information about water resources

Starting from 22 June, water experts from Azerbaijan and the European Environment Agency will hold online capacity development training for managing EcoPortal – a platform containing water datasets, indicators, dynamic maps and reports.
EcoPortal allows national water agencies to exchange and share data and information. This will enable citizens, experts, practitioners and academics to compare Azerbaijan’s water quality data with information from EU Member States. The training is in line with the EU’s objectives of promoting greener development and digitisation in the Eastern Partnership.
EcoPortal’s functionalities are inspired by the Water Information System for Europe, which collates water data from across the EU.
