Education HUB held 4th “Impact for breakfast”
On October 12, 2023, Education HUB held 4th “Impact for breakfast”.
The event took place within “Azerbaijani Impact days” tailored events in close collaboration with American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan which are being held between October 10-13. “Azerbaijani Impact days” event is implemented within the framework of the “Collaborate for Impact” program of the European Venture Philanthropy Association and funded by the European Union. The official partner in Azerbaijan is Education HUB.
In the event the representatives of public, private, bank, government and other sectors attended. The main topics of the event are social entrepreneurship, impact fund, impact investing, corporate social investment and so on.
Participants had the chance to explore what type of corporate engagement aligns most effectively with their organization’s mission and values. Whether they are a seasoned CSR professional or just beginning their journey in the world of impact.
To inspire and inform, EVPA joined by seasoned practitioners who shared real-life case studies of successful corporate engagement initiatives. These stories illustrated how impactful corporate engagement can be in practice and showcase the transformative potential it holds.
Gulnara Aslanbeyli, executive director of AmCham Azerbaijan, delivered the opening speech: “AmCham Azerbaijan is pleased to be a partner of the 4th “Impact for Breakfast” event. In the previous breakfasts I attended, I noticed that the synopsis was different and the topics were interesting. The topic of social entrepreneurship is a topic that needs attention in our country.” She also announced that a new platform for social entrepreneurs will be launched by AmCham Azerbaijan in November.
Gulnara Ismailova, Program Manager of Education HUB, said during her speech: “Impact for Breakfast” concept brought to Azerbaijan by Education HUB is being held for the 4th time. The main purpose of the breakfast is to raise awareness and build partnerships about impact funds, impact investing, social entrepreneurship.”
Then, representatives of the European Venture Philanthropy Association, Andreja Rosandic and Nicolas Malmendier, conducted an interactive workshop on “Corporate Social Investment”.
At the end, participants’ questions were answered and discussions were held.
