Closure event of the EU4Lankaran programme held in Lankaran

On December 19, the closure event of the European Union’s #EU4Lankaran programme was held in Lankaran. During the closure event:

• The results of two projects implemented in the Lankaran-Astara economic region presented;
• New brands introduced on potato, strawberry, apple, lemon and mandarin in the fruit and vegetable sector;
• www.region-lankaran.az website launched;
• Active participants were awarded with certificates, and necessary big and small production equipment was handed over to beneficiaries.

Some of the results achieved during the implementation of #EU4Lankaran programme are the below ones:

* Support was provided to the establishment of 15 small- and medium-scale undertakings;

* 2,500+ individuals benefited from trainings, meetings, consultations, and farm visits;

* The winners of the Agrinnovation Ideathon received technical assistance valued at €59,739.62;

* Study tours to Italy, Croatia, and Turkey were organized;

* A database of 6,128 farmers and 21 processors was established;

* Technical assistance valued at €3,046,117.80 was allocated for 28 collaborative undertakings.
