Europe Day reception in Baku

On 15 May, the EU Delegation came together with the EU Member States Embassies, partners and friends to celebrate the Europe Day. Ambassador of the European Union to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko and Mrs. Mirka Michalková welcomed the guests.

The EU Ambassador together with the guest of honour Mr Anar Akhundov, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan addressed the distinguished audience. “For Azerbaijan, the European Union has always been a close partner, and during the past three decades Azerbaijan has grown as a strong and respected partner. Our partnership can and ought to be enhanced, beyond the traditional domain of energy and connectivity, for the benefit of people,” the EU Ambassador said.
