Study-visit within “Strengthening capacities for quality assurance and credit transfer in Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Azerbaijan” Project
On June 26-30, a study visit to Austria was held within “Strengthening capacities for quality assurance and credit transfer in Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Azerbaijan” project. The Project is funded by the European Union and implemented by consortium led by the “IBF International Consulting” and the beneficiary of the project is the State Agency on Vocational Education.
The study visit was hosted by the OeAD-GmbH (Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation) and its aim was to discuss, exchange information and deepen the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Austria in the field of vocational education and training.
5-day study visit covered Austrian VET system, Vocational education and training (VET) policy, strategy on quality assurance, Quality assurance of VET at provider level, site visits to VET schools, organization and implementation of the Austrian National Qualification Framework (NQF), Erasmus+ program in VET, Adult education and quality assurance of adult education in Austria. During the study visit, the participants held a meeting with Ministry for Education, Science and Research and visited a tourism VET school, a vehicle engineering VET school and an apprenticeship company “Auto Stahl Reparatur und Vertriebsgesellschaft M.B.H.”.
The participants of the study visit were six employees from related departments of the State Agency on Vocational Education and vocational education institutions.
This project is implemented under the Financing Agreement (Education for Employment in Azerbaijan) between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the European Union. “Education for Employment in Azerbaijan” (ENI/2018/041-537) Annual Action Programme 2018 is financed under European Neighbourhood Instrument. The objective of the project is to facilitate the strengthening human capital in Azerbaijan by enhancing the quality of vocational education and training through improving quality assurance framework and the credit transfer system in VET for the State Agency on Vocational Education.
