EU supports training on women’s mentorship programmes in tech sector

In August, the EU4Digital Facility organised a virtual training on women’s mentorship programmes in information and communication technologies (ICT) and innovation.
In the training, participants exchanged ideas on making tech-related workplaces, events and initiatives more inclusive for women and bringing more women into tech.
One of the most popular suggestions to raise women’s interest in the tech sector was to introduce mentorship programmes. These programmes can provide in-depth insight and career advice, and support planning to help integrate women in tech-intensive workplaces.
The training included a presentation of best practices for mentoring women, as well as a workshop where countries shared their insights on the possibilities to bring more women into tech.
