Expanding inclusive quality education for children with disabilities in Azerbaijan
Project Description
Specific Objective
- Provide access for teachers, students and parents in seven districts (Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Guba, Shaki, Agjabadi, Gazakh) to local support and resources in inclusive education;
- Positively change attitudes towards, and perceptions of, children with disabilities within the public, especially amongst parents.Expected Results
- a comprehensive teacher training programme in inclusive education developed and integrated into the formal curriculum of 5 target pedagogical universities and the in-service teacher training institute;
- 100 master trainers prepared for the national education system to roll out in-service teacher training and 10,000 primary school teachers benefit from in-service training on inclusive education;
- 300 university teachers in 5 pedagogical universities trained in the new training programme on inclusive education, 1,300 student teachers trained in inclusive education;
- 9 Resource Centres on Inclusive education established in regular schools to enhance deliver of inclusive education.Beneficiaries
