Support to the Eastern Partnership Panel on Migration and Asylum

Project Description
The Eastern Partnership Panel on Migration, Mobility and Integrated Border Management is the successor of the Eastern Partnership Panel on Migration and Asylum (EaPPMA), in turn the successor of the Söderköping Process.

The Project provides analytical support to the Panel expert meetings and workshops, as well as enhances information exchange among Panel members by managing the project website.
Specific Objective
Panel and expert meetings are usually organised by a tandem of two chairing states (one EU Member State and one Eastern Partner country), focusing on different policy areas of concern for both EU member states and Eastern Partner countries, and providing a platform for exchange of information and best practices among the concerned states. The Panel’s website also stores fresh news updates and various analytical materials in the field of migration, mobility and integrated border management.
Expected Results
- Advancing the dialogue on migration and border management policies between the Eastern Partners and the EU, as well as amongst the Eastern Partners.
- Facilitation of exchange of best practices to achieve approximation with international standards.
- Strengthening migration and border management systems of Eastern Partners.
