Financial literacy trainings for students at the secondary and VET schools
Following the training of trainers, the selected teachers began teaching financial literacy as potential trainers at the target schools by October 2019. 2852 students from capital and also from rural and urban areas benefited from the project. The trainings lasted 5 months.
MOE took active part in identification of the pilot schools. Then JAA followed with school principals and teacher to identify pilot classes for the project.
The age of the students engaged in the training are 13/14 – 17, or from grade 7 to 11.
Pre-post tests evaluation has been conducted at the schools to measure the progress of the students by AMFA. Referring to the result of the assessment, it becomes obvious that the training had positive impact on students’ knowledge and attitude regarding the financial literacy.
