At least three policy papers and recommendations developed and presented to Milli Majlis and MoE on IE system

The project has developed a policy report with an in-depth analysis of strengths, weaknesses, gaps of existing legislation in terms of compliance to the requirements of the UNCRPD and suggest recommendations for further policy reform and for informing strategic development incorporating Inclusive Education into the mainstream Azerbaijan education system.
The project has also contributed to development of comprehensive report on National Capacity Building Strategy and Action Plan for Teacher Training in Inclusive Education together with UNICEF’s consultancy team. The National Capacity Building Strategy and Action Plan for Teacher Training aims to support the State Programme for Inclusive Education by providing a detailed strategy and action plan to prepare both pre- and in-service teachers to work in inclusive settings.
In addition to the recommendation report an action plan for inclusive education implementations has been developed that aligns the recommendations set out in the Legislative Review on Inclusive Education and National Capacity Building Strategy and Action Plan for Teacher Training and sets out clear action steps and tentative timeline for the proposed implementation of the inclusive education in order to support the implementation of the State Programme on Inclusive Education till 2024.
